The Annual Journalism Awards for Excellence was held at
the Mount Lavinia Hotel on 30th of July 2012. 309 entries were received
for 14 categories for Journalism Awards for Excellence 2012. This is
the 14th edition of the annual Journalism Awards for Excellence
programme which was initiated by the The Editors' Guild of Sri Lanka
(TEGOSL) in 1999, and now is being conducted jointly by The Editors'
Guild of Sri Lanka and the Sri Lanka Press Institute.
