 Jaffna College continues its traditions

 

Founded in 1823, Jaffna College was set up in Vaddukottai.  It’s Alumni Association was established outside the Peninsula, in Colombo, in 1913. The Centenary Celebrations of this distinguished portal of learning were held at Hotel Galadari recently.

A distinguished past pupil of Jaffna College Professor Valentine Daniel of the Columbia University of United States of America delivered the keynote address.  Staff members who have served over two decades were felicitated at the ceremony.

Jaffna College has produced outstanding scholars and eminent personalities for many decades.
