SHAKTHI ~ The ultimate feminine power

SHAKTHI or the Primordial female power is all encompassing. The world revolves around the woman.
The word SHAKTHI means divine energy, force or power. SHAKTHI is a metaphor for womanhood. An embodiment of creative feminine force. As a force unifies most actively manifests through female embodiment, creativity and fertility. In males it is present in its unmanifest form. SHAKTHI is the great divine mother.

According to the Shakthi Sangama Tantra ~ woman is the creator of the universe. The universe is her form. Woman is the foundation of the world. She is the true form of the body, in woman is the form of all things of all that lives and moves in the world. There is no jewel rarer than a woman, no condition superior to that of a woman.

There are six aspects of SHAKTHI :~

1.Kriya Shakthi ~ Power of Thought

2.Kundalini Shakthi ~ Means coiled power. An unconscious, instinctive or libidinal force or Shakthi lies coiled in the base of the spine. Kundalini is described as a sleeping, dormant potential force in the human being

3.Ichcha Shakthi ~ Will Power

4.Para Shakthi ~ All encompassing power

5.Gnana Shakthi ~ Power of Knowledge or Intellect or Wisdom

6.Mantrika Shakthi ~ Power of Letters, Speech, Music which refers to Mantras

SHAKTHI ~ The Power of a WOMAN was held at the New Kathiresan Hall in Bambalapitty, Colombo, Sri Lanka on 24th and 25th of February 2012. A scintillating evening of fashion show, dance and music was organised by the Saiva Mangaiyar Kazhagam in Wellawatte in association with the House of VIBHA (Chennai, India) to assist the displaced girl child in the North of Sri Lanka.
